Manufacturing Technician Foundations Apprenticeships

Exciting new opportunities to earn while you learn with one of our new Foundation Apprenticeships in Manufacturing. We are offering you the opportunity to work in the exciting fast paced world of Luxury dessert manufacturing, which in turn offers a vast array of career opportunities across the industry within all functions.

The role will encompass all areas of the manufacturing process including ice cream processing, bakery mixing, baking, production and packaging, hand finishing gateauxs as well as being involved in the quality control process, setting up of machines and stores operations.

Training Provided

The successful candidates must be willing to undertake an NVQ Food Industry Skills level 2 qualification Certificate for Proficiency (Pearson Edexcel) 60011142. Training will be provided with the aim of achieving a broad understanding of the business during the programme. This will be delivered by CAMBRIAN TRAINING COMPANY (WBL)

Desirable Personal Qualities

Successful candidates will have a basic level of skills in literacy and numeracy and an interest in food and baking. Candidates will need good communication skills, to be able to work under their own initiative and as part of a team, whilst enjoying working in an energetic and varied environment.

An open day will be help on Thursday 11th August 2016 for all applicants to attend and come and take a good look around the whole of the business and find out more about what the role involves. Cambrian Training Company will be on site to provide more information about the NVQ level 2 and answer any questions you may have. You will also have the opportunity to try some of our products as well as seeing some of the processes and stages that go in to creating luxury desserts that you would be involved in.
