In February this year Sian Evans, Sidoli’s Human Resources Manager, accomplished an incredible thirty years of service with the company!
Sian was just 17 when she started working at Sidoli as an Office Junior back in 1985. Some of her many duties included payroll, filing, cash wages and, of course, making tea. Sian then took on the responsibility of Sales Ledger as her time at the company progressed.
She then moved into the Sales department in the days where we delivered to individual pubs and restaurants. It was part of Sian’s job to take the orders from our huge database of customers. She remembers one rather stressful Christmas Eve where a power cut meant that the phone lines weren’t working. As a result, Sian and Elaine Barnes were left sat in the dark in Reception, calling all of our clients from mobile phones to receive their orders!
Sian took on the role of Human Resources manager and has now been in the role for thirteen and a half years. It’s safe to say that Sian is a much loved and highly valued member of the team, and she still takes the time to do the payroll and make the tea!
